Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the Prada Re-Edition 2000 bag for a while now. It’s just so cool and I thought it would be a fun project to try and remake one myself, you know? So, I started looking into what I would need.

First things first, I had to find a good base bag. I didn’t want to spend too much, so I looked around online for a simple nylon bag in a similar shape. I finally found one that looked pretty close, and it was a good price, so I ordered it.

While I waited for the bag to arrive, I started researching the details of the real Prada bag. I studied tons of pictures online, paying close attention to the logo, the zippers, and the overall shape. I noticed that the “R” in the Prada logo has a little curve, and the zippers have the Prada name on them. Those little details are pretty important to make it look authentic.

  • Get the right logo
  • Check the zippers
  • Match the shape as close as possible

Once the bag arrived, I got to work. The first thing I did was to create a template for the Prada logo. I printed out a bunch of different sizes until I found one that looked right. Then, I carefully traced it onto some special material that I could then attach to the bag. That part was kinda tricky, but I took my time and it turned out pretty good.

Next up were the zippers. I couldn’t find ones that said Prada, but I found some that were the same size and style. I replaced the original zippers with the new ones, and I think they look pretty close. It’s not perfect, but it does the job.

I also made a few other adjustments to the bag to make it look more like the real thing. I adjusted the strap and added a few details here and there. It wasn’t a quick process, I had to do a lot of things to make it what I wanted. Overall I think I spent like, 10 hours on this thing?

So, yeah, that’s how I remade the Prada Re-Edition 2000 bag. It’s definitely not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot along the way. Plus, now I have a cool bag that looks kind of like the real thing, but it didn’t cost me nearly as much. I’m super stoked with how it came out, even if it’s not exactly like the real deal.

What do you guys think?

I’m thinking about doing more of these in the future, any suggestions?
