Well, let me tell you, I seen a thing or two in my day. These days, all the young folks is carrying these fancy bags. One I see all the time is this here Yves Saint Laurent, YSL they call it, LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Now, I ain’t one for fancy names, but I gotta say, it’s a nice lookin’ bag. Simple, you know? Not all flashy like some of them other ones. Just a good, solid bag.
If you want one of these YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL bags, you gotta go to them Specialty Stores. That’s what they tell me. They ain’t cheap, neither. But folks seem to think they’re worth it. My granddaughter, she’s got one. Saved up her money, she did. Proud of her, I am. She says it’s a “classic.” Whatever that means. Just means it won’t go outta style, I reckon.
Now, you gotta be careful where you get these bags. Lots of fakes out there. You gotta make sure it is Yves Saint Laurent 100% Original. They say you can find used ones, too. “Vintage,” they call ’em. Means old, but still good, I guess. Probably cheaper that way. But you gotta watch out for them fakes. They are everywhere, just like weeds in a garden.

I seen some folks carryin’ a “bucket bag” they call it. It got this hook thing, shaped like that YSL name. They call it “CASSANDRE”. Fancy, huh? That’s another one from that Yves Saint Laurent. That YSL is a big name in the bag world, I reckon. Big as a barn, I suppose.
If you’re lookin’ for one of these YSL bags, you gotta find one of them stores. They say you can find them on the computer now, too. But I don’t trust that thing. Too many buttons. I like to see things with my own two eyes. Feel ’em with my own two hands. That’s the best way to know if somethin’s real, somethin’s good.

Back in 1961, whatever year that was. Before my time, that’s for sure. He made good things, that fella did. These bags, they last. I’ll say that. They hold up better than my old bones, that’s for darn sure! Old things are good things, most of the time.
You can get these bags in different styles, too. Some you carry on your shoulder, some you carry across your body. They call them “crossbody.” Sounds funny to me, but that’s what they call ’em. Whatever makes you comfortable, I say. As long as it holds your stuff, that’s all that matters. It’s important to make sure the bag is from after 1997, if it’s before that it won’t have a serial number.
These YSL bags, they’re a big deal. Especially this LE CARRé SATCHEL. Folks like ’em. They’re good quality, they look nice. If you got the money, and you want a good bag, then maybe this is the one for you. Just make sure you get a real one, from a real store. And take care of it. It’ll last you a long time, maybe even longer than me! And that’s sayin’ somethin’!
