Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with watches lately, you know, just for fun. And I got this idea to try and find a really good fake Rolex, specifically the GMT-Master II with the “Batman” bezel – that’s the one with the black and blue, super cool looking.
So, I started digging around online. I read a bunch of stuff, like, tons of forums and reviews. I even looked at those Amazon reviews, they got a Timex there that looks a bit like the Rolex, but it is not the same thing.
The whole thing is kinda crazy, right? These fake watches, they’re called “replicas” or “high imitations,” and there’s a whole world out there dedicated to them. People are really into it, trying to find the best ones, the ones that look the most like the real deal.
Finding the best
I found out that there’s this one company, they call it a “factory,” named Clean. Apparently, they make some of the best fake GMTs out there. Everyone on the forums was saying so. But, it’s a mess, so many different versions, different factories. How am I gonna pick one?
So, I started looking at these online stores that sell them. Some looked pretty sketchy, honestly. But I found a few that seemed okay. They had pictures, descriptions, the whole nine yards. They even had this “Root Beer” version, but that was not what I was going after.

- Checked out online stores.
- Picked a couple of sellers that seemed legit.
- Compared prices, features, the usual stuff.
I ended up ordering one from this one store, I do not want to say its name just in case. It took a while to arrive, but when it did, I gotta say, I was pretty impressed. It looked really good, seriously. The weight, the feel, the details, all pretty spot on. It was from this “Clean” factory everyone was talking about, by the way. I think I made a good choice.
So, here is what I did:
I compared it to pictures of real Rolexes online. I even went to a watch store, just to look at a real one in person, you know, for science, haha. And I gotta say, this fake one, it’s pretty darn close. Of course, a real watch expert could probably tell the difference, but for a regular guy like me, it’s more than good enough.
Now, I’m not saying you should go out and buy a fake watch. It’s not for everyone, and it’s not exactly legal in some places. But it was a fun experiment, and I learned a lot about watches in the process. It’s pretty wild how good these fakes are getting. It makes you think about what you’re really paying for when you buy a super expensive watch, you know?
Anyway, that’s my story about trying to find a good fake Rolex GMT-Master II Batman. It was a fun little project, and I’m pretty happy with the results. Maybe I’ll try to find other models in the future. Who knows?
