That Patek Philippe, you know, that fancy watch. They got this new one, the Calatrava 6119G-001. It’s a remake, they call it. Like the old ones, but, you know, newer. My grandson, he’s always going on about these things, says it’s the real deal, just like the ones in the official flagship store. Big money, these watches. More than I ever made in a year, that’s for sure.

And the color! They call it “Charcoal Gray”. Sounds like what’s left in the bottom of the grill after a good cookout. But I guess it looks alright on a watch. It’s on the dial, you know, the face of the watch. Fancy folks and their fancy names for colors. Back in my day, we just called it gray. This new one, the 6119G-001, they made it bigger, too. It is 40 mm now. Used to be smaller, I think. Everything’s gettin’ bigger these days. Even the price, I bet. My grandson showed me a picture. It’s a pretty thing, I’ll give ’em that. But worth all that money? I don’t know.
You know, they say these Calatrava watches, they’re not like those other ones. The ones everyone wants, the…what are they called? Nautilus? Something like that. Those, you gotta wait forever to get. Years, they say. This Calatrava, you still gotta wait, but not as long. Maybe 9 months, maybe a year. Still a long time to wait for a watch, if you ask me. Is this Patek Philippe Calatrava 6119G-001 worth the money? Well I don’t know about the money, but these watches, they are something else. This remake one is good. All shiny and new. I reckon if you got the money, and you like that sort of thing, then sure, why not? If you have the money, you can buy it in the official flagship store. But for me? I’ll stick to my old Timex. Tells the time just fine. And I don’t need to take out a loan to buy it.
But this Patek Philippe, this Calatrava…it’s a pretty thing. Even an old lady like me can see that. They say the price is high. The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5196 price is also very high. Even higher than this new one. That 6119G-001, with its fancy Clous de Paris and Charcoal Gray…it’s got a certain something, I’ll admit. If you are looking for men’s watch, this is a good one. Makes you think, doesn’t it? About time, and money, and what’s really worth it in the end. My old Timex is good for me. But if you want some luxury watches, this is your choice.
