Okay, here’s my sharing about remaking the PRADA Medium Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag:
So, I saw this PRADA Medium Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag the other day, and I thought, “I want that, but the real one is so expensive! I can totally make one myself.” I’m not really good at these things, but I decided to give it a shot.
First things first, I needed to get the materials. The real bag is made of Saffiano leather, which I found out is basically textured leather. I went to the local shop and found a piece of black leather that looked pretty similar. Not the exact same, but good enough for me. The shopkeeper helped me to pick some sturdy thread and needles. He’s a kind person. I also grabbed some metal pieces for the logo and the handles, just to make it look a bit more legit.

Then came the hard part – actually making the bag. I printed out some pictures of the real Prada Galleria bag from different angles. I used these as a sort of guide to cut the leather into the right shapes. It was a bit tricky, and I definitely messed up a few times. Cutting straight lines is harder than it looks!
After cutting, I started sewing. This was also super hard. I tried to do it by hand, but it looked terrible. So, I borrowed a sewing machine from my friend Mary. She showed me the basics, and I slowly got the hang of it. I sewed the pieces together, trying to follow the design of the original bag. It took forever, and my fingers hurt, but I kept going. I remembered that I need to sew slowly and carefully. So the stitches are neat and tight.
The final step was adding the metal parts. I had this little Prada logo I managed to find, and I attached it to the front of the bag. I also put on the metal parts for the handles. It was tough to get them on securely, but I managed.
The Result
Finally, after many hours of work, my homemade Prada Galleria bag was done! It’s not perfect, of course. The stitching isn’t as neat as the real thing, and the leather is a bit different. But, you know what? I’m pretty proud of it. It looks quite similar to the original, and it’s definitely unique. Plus, I made it myself, which makes it special to me.
This whole project was a fun challenge. I learned a lot about sewing and working with leather. It’s not something I’d do every day, but it was a cool experience. Now I have a new bag that I can show off, and when people ask, I can say, “Yeah, I made that!”
