Okay, here is my sharing about copying an OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with a transparent case back:
So, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on an OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch for a while now. That transparent case back, man, it’s just so cool to see all the inner workings of the watch. But, you know, the price tag on those things is way out of my league. So I thought, why not try to make my own, like a copy?
First things first, I needed to find some resources online about this. I searched everywhere. I found some useful information about URL encoding. I mean, who knew that encoding was so important when dealing with URLs? I mean, you gotta convert all those special characters so everything can just get along, like those characters from that Japanese text that mentioned something about URL encoding in configurations. The data also mentioned something about file storage and easy sharing, but that didn’t seem related.
Then I spent a bunch of time reading stuff that was totally unrelated like this thing about a speed test. I guess it could be useful to check my internet connection. I don’t know, it just seemed like a random thing to find when I’m looking up info about copying watches.
Anyway, after all that, I finally decided to just dive in and get started. I mean, how hard could it be, right? I found some parts online and ordered them. I’m not even sure what I got, but it looked kinda like the stuff inside the watch. I messed around with those parts, you know, trying to put them together in some way that resembled the real deal. I took them apart and try again. I used some tools, and even broke a few things along the way.
Honestly, the whole process was a huge mess. I spent hours trying to figure this out, and ended up with something that looked nothing like an OMEGA Speedmaster.
- Spent too much time searching for unrelated stuff.
- Ordered random parts without really knowing what they were.
- Broke a bunch of stuff in the process.
- Ended up with a franken-watch that looked awful.
My Final Thoughts
This was way harder than I thought it would be. I guess there’s a reason why those watches are so expensive. It takes some serious skill and knowledge to put those things together. Maybe I’ll just save up and buy a real one someday. Or maybe not. Who knows. Anyway, that was my experience trying to copy an OMEGA Speedmaster. It was a total failure, but hey, at least I learned something, I guess.
